The Australian tennis landscape is set to undergo a significant transformation with the introduction of a government-backed initiative aimed at increasing female participation. Nearly one million Australian dollars, equivalent to 5,000 USD, has been allocated to Tennis Australia to promote tennis among women and girls from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. This funding will facilitate programs across up to 60 clubs nationwide, focusing on enhancing engagement and retention within these communities. Starting this July, Tennis Australia will collaborate closely with various clubs throughout the country. Each participating club will oversee specific programs designed to support and encourage 30 women and girls from culturally diverse backgrounds.
